Freedom NH is a small town along the eastern shore of Ossipee Lake and between Rt. 16 and the border with the State of Maine in Porter.
Often considered to be an idyllic summer resort area, Freedom New Hampshire is also home to a year round population.
The town is rich in vacation tourism and agricultural history. Properties range from big, lakefront compounds on big Ossipee Lake, to secluded mountain properties.
Freedom is also home to one of the only condominium developments on Ossipee Lake. While the lakes have experienced strong development over the years, Freedom NH still has plenty of open land.

Town of Freedom NH
Freedom NH is located along the NH/Maine border, just East of NH Rt 16 and North of Rt 25, in the lakes region that runs from the Maine coast to the Green Mountains in Vermont.
The schools are well run, with an elementary school in town, and a regional middle school and a regional high school with a technical school. Granite State College and White Mountains Community College have campus space in the county.
Plymouth State University and SNHU, as well as a number of Maine colleges (and the Portland area), are within an hour’s drive of Freedom NH.
