Tamworth NH is a beautiful, independent small town, just South of The Conway’s.
While so much seems to revolve around the regional commercial hub to the north of this hamlet in the foothills of the White Mountains, Tamworth would still exist and survive, as it does, if Rt. 16 stopped in Ossipee.
Strong agricultural roots still hold strong and the people support their village enough to keep a sense of community and pride. Mount Chocorua and the famous lake bearing it’s name (or is it the other way around?)
Lake Chocorua and the historic mountain vale of Wonalancet lie within the town borders, along with many other north country landmarks and historic places that take more than just a quick drive by to find.
